Single Variety Olive Oils

At ‘Las Valdesas,’ we cultivate five distinct olive varieties.

We harvest and cold-press each variety separately to produce five unique monovarietal extra virgin olive oils, each with its own natural flavor profile, allowing our customers to explore and pair them with their favorite dishes.

Four of these exclusive varieties are available for our customers in the US:

Picual Picual

Originating from Jaén (Spain). Features a classic pleasant bitterness and a peppery finish. Packed with a high concentration of oleic acid. Ideal for seasoned olive oil lovers.

Arbequina Arbequina

A variety native to Tarragona and Lérida (Spain). Fruity, aromatic, and buttery smooth.
With virtually no bitter or pungent notes, it is the perfect introduction to extra virgin olive oil.

We highly recommend it for breakfast, French toast, and delicate recipes where you want a subtle, non-overpowering olive flavor.

Hojiblanca Hojiblanca

The signature variety of central Andalusia, (Spain).
This is our most versatile kitchen companion, perfect for stews, roasting, and sautéing.
It offers a beautifully balanced profile of sweet, fruity, and slightly bitter notes.

Frantoio Frantoio

This variety is typical of Tuscany (Italy), a region renowned for oil production. Creamy and unique: It is one of the few Spanish Frantoio varieties currently found in Spain. As fruity and aromatic as Arbequina, but with a light and elegant spicy touch in the throat. Ideal for dressings and other natural and fresh dishes.
